K-pop group NewJeans has lost their court battle against management agency Ador, according to the Korea Herald. The group sought to terminate their contract due to the firing of former CEO Min Hee-jin and accusations of bullying.
The fact that Min was removed from her position as CEO, does not in itself mean that a managerial vacuum was created or that Ador became incapable of fulfilling its contractual obligations.
A Seoul court ruled in favor of Ador, stating that the bullying accusations were "insufficient grounds for termination". The ruling means that NewJeans will remain under contract with Ador until 2029.
