The Little Rock Board of Directors meeting on Tuesday night was expected to discuss a resolution asking Director Ken Richardson to resign due to his ongoing health problems, which have kept him from attending board meetings for over a year.
However, the vote was postponed as Richardson was not in attendance. The resolution, introduced by Ward 5 Director Lance Hines, expresses support for Richardson's health condition but ultimately asks him to step down.
"I think it’s very unfortunate but it’s very obvious to me and the rest of, not only my constituents, but a lot of the constituents in Ward 2 that he’s not been able to fulfill his duties as a city director,"
said Hines. The board will revisit the resolution at a later date.
