Panthers to Face Wichita Carroll
Great Bend's football team, led by coach Erin Beck, is set to host Wichita Carroll in a second-round 5A showdown at Memorial Stadium.
According to coach Beck, "It's 5A West playoff time. We're at the point where we'll have to play four quarters. Our kids are fresh and ready to go."

Wichita Carroll has a 5-2 all-time advantage over the Panthers, but Great Bend won their first meeting 42-28 in 2004 and also won 21-14 in 2006, which led to their lone trip to the 5A state football championship game.
