Vintage Blakeman – Your Man in NYC
Blakeman is running again for Nassau County executive, but in 2009, he sought the Republican nomination for New York City mayor.
Back then, he ran an ad claiming "I'm one of you" to residents of the five boroughs, stating:

However, fact-checking reveals that Valley Stream, where Blakeman is from, is located in one of the most western parts of Nassau County, on the border of New York City.
Blakeman's qualifications and experience include being a busboy, dishwasher, bartender, garbageman, janitor, bouncer, teacher, lawyer, councilman, legislator, commissioner, and businessman.
