Golf Course Operation Agreement Renewed
The shared agreement for the operation of the Stone Ridge Golf Club has been renewed for another 10 years.
Council approved the agreement between the city and Elliot Lake Retirement Living (ELRL) in October.
“The agreement, which was first enacted in 2016, has been found to have been very effective and worked well for both parties,”said Elliot Lake CAO Rob deBortoli.
Key highlights of the agreement include:
- The city owns the asset, but ELRL is responsible for day-to-day management, including staffing, equipment, maintenance, and course upkeep.
- Both parties must maintain adequate limits of liability insurance, naming each other as insured on the policy.
- Profits and losses from operations are shared equally between the city and ELRL.
- Capital costs are also equally shared.
