Resignations in Wilmington's City Administration
Two top members of Wilmington's city administration, Deputy Manager Chad McEwen and Director of Economic Development Aubrey Parsley, have resigned, effective at the end of this week.
According to the city, leadership was "already in the process of assessing our organizational structure." The city confirmed the resignations on Tuesday, stating that they were recently accepted.
- Chad McEwen was hired as Deputy Manager in May 2022, previously serving as Pender County manager, assistant county manager, and town manager for Burgaw.
- Aubrey Parsley was hired in 2019 to direct the city's rail realignment project and became the economic development director in 2021.
The city said the positions have not been eliminated, but officials are looking at the city's org chart.
