Disqualified Driver Pulled Over Twice in 10 Minutes
A 58-year-old man was caught driving twice in 10 minutes while disqualified, according to police.
The man, Said Abi-Merhi, has a driving history that is "certainly not the best", as stated in the Bathurst Local Court.
- He was stopped twice in South Bathurst, with the second location about one kilometre from the first.
- Abi-Merhi was charged with two counts of driving a vehicle during a disqualification period (second-plus offence).
Police documents stated that police saw a Holden Rodeo travelling west on Lloyds Road, South Bathurst at about 6.10pm on April 10, 2025 and stopped it for roadside testing.
Abi-Merhi completed a referral into treatment program, as heard in court.
