The Desert Biennial Project was a pop-up art installation featuring 107 Nevada artists, held on Apex Dry Lake, about 20 miles north of Las Vegas.
Co-organizer Bailey Anderson describes the project as a temporary outdoor exhibit that drew around 400 visitors, with sculptures sprawled out across the landscape, exploring the theme of "gravity".
The work had a great conversation with the sky and the power lines on Interstate 15.
An abridged version of the project, Selections From the Desert Biennial Project, is on view at the Holland Project in Reno, through Nov. 29.
