Italy Acquires Additional AW249 Attack Helicopters
Italy has initiated the parliamentary approval process for acquiring 29 more AW249 Fenice attack helicopters.
This batch will complete the planned fleet of 48 AW249s for the Italian Army.
- 29 new AW249 helicopters will be acquired
- 19 existing helicopters will be upgraded
- Certification and industrialization of the helicopter are included
- Logistic support for ten years and training system acquisition are also part of the deal
