WAC Rebrands Amidst Athletics Renovations
The Western Athletic Conference (WAC) will cease to exist as it undergoes a rebranding, becoming the United Athletic Conference starting July 2026.
After nearly 65 years of existence in the southwestern and pacific northwest regions of the United States, the conference will lose all "WAC" imagery and relevance.
Since its founding in July 1962, the WAC has housed 43 full members across 15 states.
The conference will undergo a remodeling, losing all "WAC" imagery and relevance in the ever-changing landscape of college athletics.
