Warren officials have submitted a $1 million grant to the Appalachian Regional Commission for the first phase of Allegheny Riverfront development.
The first phase includes installing a boat ramp, stairway, and floating dock to facilitate access to the Allegheny River.
“This isn’t just a total shot in the dark,”
said Chad Yurisic, city engineer, in response to a question from Mayor Dave Wortman.
Yurisic noted that the city has reached the third hurdle for the initial phase of the project, and they are hopeful for spring construction.
