Nine years ago, Bollywood witnessed a major clash when Karan Johar's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (ADHM) released alongside Ajay Devgn's Shivaay on October 28, 2016.
Ae Dil Hai Mushkil opened strong, earning ₹13.04 crore on its first day and ₹34.67 crore over its opening weekend, going on to earn ₹106 crore in India and ₹229 crore worldwide.
The film was declared a HIT at the box office, with total footfalls of around 1.05 crore, clearly emerging as the winner.
