Rowan Women's Volleyball: Joy as Their Secret Weapon
The Rowan women's volleyball team has found success with a record of 18-4, a significant improvement from their 12-10 mark in 2024.
A recent road trip to Union for a matchup against Kean showcased the team's camaraderie. During the 1 hour and 40 minute bus ride, the team enjoyed a Spotify playlist, with songs like "Cry for You" by September, while assistant coach Matt Verlinghieri's choice of Metallica didn't make the cut.
The team's joy and love for each other is evident, with an influx of freshmen and sophomores making a significant impact on the program. Freshman outside hitter Jessica Smart is a notable example, leading the team in kills in her first year.
