Canadian Lobbyists Represent Major Polluters and Environmental Groups

A new report by FMinus reveals a conflict of interest in Canadian lobbying, where environmental organizations and major polluters share the same lobbyists.

Major Canadian environmental organizations, along with civil society groups, are working with lobbyists who also represent big polluters, according to the report.

“As the climate crisis gets worse for Canadians, there’s a hidden cause,”

said James Browning, founder and executive director of FMinus, in an interview with DeSmog.

The report was prepared in conjunction with Environmental Defence and re•generation, a youth climate advocacy organization.
