A New Partnership to Support People with Brain Injuries
Headway Devon, a local charity based in Exeter, specializes in helping individuals rehabilitate from head injuries.
Together with Thompsons Solicitors, MAPS Benevolent Trust, and the Players of the Postcode Lottery, they recognize that people with brain injuries often lack support after being discharged home to their family network.
You've spent months in hospital, in ICU, in rehabilitation with a team of clinicians around you and suddenly you're all alone.
Many individuals may not fully understand their brain injury, and some may be navigating a legal battle for compensation without guidance.
Headway Devon currently supports around 100 people weekly, but there are many more who are discharged alone and unaware of the charity's services.
Thanks to the new partnership, Headway Devon can now provide support in hospitals, reaching more individuals in need.
