OPRC Consultation on New Inclusion Framework and Pre-Action Model
The Law Society has responded to the Online Procedure Rule Committee's (OPRC) public engagement document on the digital justice system.
The OPRC was established to make rules governing online court and tribunal proceedings across Civil, Family, and Tribunal jurisdictions, aiming to improve access to justice using modern digital technology.
Inclusion Framework and Pre-Action Model
The draft inclusion framework sets out design principles and standards to ensure all users can access digital justice services, with key features including:
- user-centred design
- plain language
- robust data collection to measure inclusion outcomes
The framework aims to ensure access to justice for all, especially those at risk of exclusion.
