Roads in New Providence turned into rivers over the weekend due to heavy rain, causing widespread flooding that disrupted daily life and left several communities underwater.
Housing Minister Keith Bell stated,
"We have flooding in every area of New Providence after that tremendous amount of rainfall we had,"and expects more residents will need government assistance to rebuild.
The Ministry of Works and Family Island Affairs will deploy drainage pumps and pump trucks as soon as weather conditions permit.
