Two children are in critical condition after going on a hike with their dad in Utah, according to the Salt Lake County Sheriff’s Office.
A 31-year-old man set off for a hike on Broads Fork Trail with his three children, ages 2, 4, and 8, on Saturday. The family was later reported missing after not returning on time.
Two of the children are in critical condition, the third child is in stable condition, and the dad is in “fair” condition.
The sheriff’s office said it is still investigating and officials haven’t said if any foul play was involved.
