Ismael Bonfim failed to make weight at the UFC Vegas 111 official weigh-ins, coming in five pounds over the lightweight limit. The elder Bonfim weighed in at 161 pounds, exceeding the 155-pound lightweight limit allowed for non-title fights.

This marks the second time Bonfim has missed weight in his UFC career. Previously, he missed weight by 3.5 pounds for a scheduled fight against Vinc Pichel at UFC Sao Paulo in November 2023. Pichel declined to accept the fight after the weight miss, stating:

“I decided to take away his ability to fight and make money.”

Bonfim’s opponent for this event, Chris Padilla, successfully made weight at 155 pounds. The UFC confirmed that the Bonfim vs. Padilla fight will continue at a catchweight, with Bonfim forfeiting 25% of his purse as a penalty.

The main event welterweight bout between Gabriel Bonfim and Randy Brown is official. Gabriel weighed in at 170.5 pounds, while Brown weighed 171 pounds.
