Alan Carr, known for his role on the popular BBC One game show Celebrity Traitors and his ITV sitcom Changing Ends, is set to gain even more attention. The comedian has reportedly been "poached" by the BBC to star in a new prime-time quiz show featuring celebrity guests.
The 49-year-old comedian was flown abroad for filming a pilot episode of this new format, according to The Sun. This move follows rumors of a fresh TV deal after the end of his Channel 4 chat show Chatty Man eight years ago.
"Unquestionably, Alan is the hottest man on TV right now. Everyone wants a piece of him. But the BBC have acted quickly and last week he was jetted out to a swanky European city for a day of filming a pilot."
This new deal is expected to put Alan in direct competition with his Celebrity Traitors co-star Jonathan Ross, who recently renewed his contract with ITV for The Jonathan Ross Show.
Alan Carr's growing popularity has led the BBC to secure him for a new celebrity quiz show, marking a significant step in his TV career post-Chatty Man.
